The LVR-7815LC is a +15 Volts Linear Voltage Regulator. It is a low cost Enhanced Commercial of the Shelf (COTS) product and is offered in a Hermetically sealed ceramic LCC package. It is a Non-RoHS product and is guaranteed over the temperature range of 0 to +70°C. All protective features are designed into the circuit, including thermal shutdown, current limiting, and safe-area control.
The Hermetic package of the LVR-7815LC protects the IC from the effects of moisture and outgasing of plastic mold compound, hence making the reference more stable in environments where humidity is a concern. Also, the Non-RoHS versions illiminate any concern over tin-whisker and can be ordered with leaded option. This grade is the best choice for Ruggedized, Military, Avionics, Aerospace and Medical applications that does not require full MIL-Standard 883 products.
